About Me.

I’ve always been passionate about creating with purpose—whether I’m designing stationery, planning fun activities for my kids, or shaping ceramics. There’s an intrinsic satisfaction in crafting my own solutions for everyday items. My love for problem-solving led me to study math and systems in college, where I honed my ability to creatively tackle complex problems and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Through User Experience design, I’ve found the perfect way to bring these skills together, and I’m passionate about applying them to enhance digital experiences. When I’m not designing, you’ll likely find me staying active through running or a group fitness class, exploring new perspectives in my book club, tackling another house project, or hiking through national parks—constantly seeking new challenges and experiences. Let’s connect and create something amazing together!

Corporate Experience

2022-2024

Hands of Hope

As a UX/UI designer, I contributed to updating the company’s WordPress website, combining my passion for social justice with hands-on design experience. Collaborating closely with the marketing team, I was able to apply my skills to further the organization’s mission while gaining valuable insights in the nonprofit sector.

2019-2021

Capital One

At Capital One, I worked as a UX/UI designer focusing on credit card pre-qualification and pre-approval experiences. My primary goal was to enhance user confidence and streamline the design process, ensuring that potential customers had a smooth and reassuring journey. I collaborated with designers, business stakeholders, data analysts, and developers, leading to a significant growth in the workstream while aligning with both user needs and business objectives.

2018-2019

Allstate

I was a part of a team of UX specialists working to redesign Allstate’s quoting tool for insurance agents. Partnering with agile teams and stakeholders, I focused on executing new designs while creating a roadmap for the product vision. I conducted a research study to determine strategies for motivating agents and integrated the findings into the system. I collaborated with other UX Architects and Visual Designers to redesign the navigational structure—building off of insights from a user research study.

2016-2017

Solstice

I worked on a variety of internal and client projects. I worked with a cross-functional team on the development of a chatbot for Solstice’s annual FWD conference. My responsibilities included project management, content strategy, and requirements writing. Later, I worked with the internal resource management team—helping track employee utilization and staff upcoming projects.

I also worked with two Fortune 500 clients—one industrial automation and the other financial services. I helped set up initial web analytics for our industrial automation client by writing acceptance criteria and collaborating with our developers. I also participated in brainstorming sessions around design requirements for their beta website. In addition to my work in industrial automation, I worked with a financial services client. I managed all the internal budget tracking and I worked with a client-side team’s customer-facing website. I took on the responsibility of project planning and ensured the team met the business requirements.
